Weekend in Fort Worth

We took a mini-vacation to Fort Worth a few weekends ago. We stayed at the hotel at Southwestern Seminary, so Carter was excited to visit Daddy's "school". We explored the campus, swam at the rec center, and enjoyed a variety of Fort Worth activities - fun times!

One of many attempts to get a decent picture of Carter & Kamryn together...

Friday night we went to the Stockyards for dinner and then went to the Rodeo.

Carter really enjoyed the "buckin' bulls".

He went into the arena with other kids his age for a "Mutton Chase". Hilarious!! They released a large sheep with a ribbon on its back, so all the kids were chasing it to see who could grab the ribbon. Carter didn't get the ribbon, but still had a great time!

On Saturday we went to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was extremely hot, but we were prepared for that and enjoyed ourselves anyway!

The end of a long, hot day...

Cowboy Carter and his horse, Little Worm

We went back to the Stockyards Saturday evening for dinner, and Carter took his first horse ride...both Daddy & Carter loved it!

On Sunday we went to the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History. I didn't get many good pictures there, but we had fun exploring all the exhibits and seeing "Animalopolis" at the Omni Theatre. It was a great family weekend!

Baby Faces

For the past several weeks I have attempted to get a good picture of Kamryn smiling, but haven't had too much success. In the process, I have caught a variety of funny faces, and even a couple smiles!

Big yawn...

Bathtime fun...

She needed a break from pictures and decided to rest her head...

Hanging out...

Big smile!

Swimming, Haircuts, & Firetrucks

Here are some pictures of our summer activities in June...

Kamryn's first dip in the pool at Granny & PaPas house. She cried the first time her feet went in the water, but then she decided the water wasn't so bad and enjoyed hanging out with Granny.

We finally took the plunge and cut Carter's hair short! It was a nerve-racking experience for Mommy, but it turned out great!

There's no going back at this point...

Almost done...

The finished product...he looks so grown up!

We visited Uncle Mike at his Fire Station and he gave us a "private tour." Carter loved it!

Trying on his fire suit:

Carter even got to spray the fire hose and practice putting out fires:)

Trying on the helmet:

Thanks, Uncle Mike!
